A few pics from the spaghetti feed on Sunday night. Chris (Chris & Laura Jean, Tuck and myself at our table, John & Aussie Mike (Mike & Rosemary), and Rita going for seconds. (Joe & Rita) Always great food when it comes to potlucks. Perhaps from my PK's past.

Sayulita Trailer Life
I took a couple of these photos from the balcony of one of the bungaloes at the park. My modest site is on the right next to the million dollar bus. From the same spot, but turning to my right is the beach and Terrazolla restaurant.

Zoe & Al (Musicians)
Rick & Leslie had Zoe, Al, Loren & Norma, and I over for dinner last Wednesday. Zoe & Al play at the Macondo Restaurant in Sayulita twice a week. Great friends. (all of them)

LaCruz, Mexico!

Sunday afternoons, at Ana Bananas, in LaCruz Mexico, live music happens. Open mic, so anybody can start a career. Rick & Leslie and I had the pleasure this past Sunday to enjoy this experience. Rick brought his guitar and one of these pics show him pickin' and a strumin'.
Leon is the taller one on the washboard, the other gentleman is 87 years old.

More Bocce Awards night pics!
All those that have attended Trailer Park potlucks can attest to wonderful spread that appears every time. The bocce awards night was no exception. Fantastic variety of great foods including smoked salmon. Theis, the park owner, and Doug, the organizer are preparing for the awards which included 15 bottles of wine. One of the pics shows us congratulating the team that let us come from 8 & 15 to win 21 & 15. Thanks.

Bocce Ball Champions 2007

First and second place in the bocce ball tournament are pictures above. Winners in each of the categories received Sayulita Trailer Park caps. The champions also received a nice bottle of Cuatissimo. (Destilado de agave) Paul, my bocce partner, opened his immediatley and shared the nectar with all of our competition. My bottle is waiting for the next 'right' moment. Thanks also goes to my brother Pete, whose coaching via email, prepared me for EBSS. (extreme bocce stress syndrome)

Sayulita Trailer Park Bocce Tournament

Every year there has been a bocce ball tournament at the trailer park. Thanks to Doug (Doug & Sue) who organizes this great social event! This year there were a record number of teams in 4 divisions, including a women's division. The event lasted two days, Jan. 18-19th. There were winners in each division and then there was a playoff the second day to determine the champion. This was my first year playing in the tournament and I was paired with Paul, whose family was visiting from Seattle. He's the one in the picture above without a shirt. So who won the tournament? Stay tuned for my next posting.

Sayulita Beach

These two shots were taken from the Sayulita trailer park where I'm staying. Except for the crowds, the beach is fantastic. This is also a very popular surfing beach.

Greetings from Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico!

The pic with the flowers is from our friends place, Casa Pacifica, which is a miles south of town. The other is from Rick & Leslie's new home overlooking Sayulita. The weather has been in the 80 during the day, and down to 65 at night. Perfect. I've been riding my bike around town, playing volleyball on the beach and attempting the fine sport of bocce balls. More later.

Happy New Year II

Helping bring in the New Year is Jason, a regular, IPA drinker, and chess player.
As mentioned in the previous blog, the Edsels did a fantastic job of providing the tunes.
Joe Kelley and his wife, Juli are enjoying the evening with several fun Mug Club members. (aka regulars)

Happy New Year!

Yes, I know its been almost a month since I added to my blog site. I've been in Manteca, CA since December 9th and plan to begin travels, once again by the 4th of January.

I have included a few pics of New Years Eve in Manteca at Kelly Bros. Brewing Co.

Those that know me know that this is my favorite establishment in California. Those that don't know this, now do.

This year's New Year's Eve celebration was, once again, great fun. We all dined on a great tri-tip dinner buffet before hitting the dance floor. The Edsels provided the great music, and fun was had by all.
