First you walk down to the Circonvallience tram stop and take the No. 8 to the Department of Education where you get off and catch the 75 to city centre or termini and transfer to the 90 which takes you to right in front of the college unless you accidentally get off a mile before and have to hoof it. Easy!
Had gelato with Professor Kessler & Joey, one of Jamie’s professors, then we were in search of some catacombs. We found Catacomba di Priscilla, a bit north of the college. It was so cool. 13 degrees to be exact. Amazing three levels of tunnels beneath the city. This is only one of many of them here in Rome. Unable to take photos, so I purchased a postcard. Next we headed by bus to Basilica de Santa Maria Maggiore, which is yet another beautiful and huge church here in Rome. The one picture of the exterior is seen here. My interior shots failed.
Ended the evening with a fantastic dinner with Bob and Marge, Amada’s parents, Elizabeth, Jordan, Jamie and Eleanor (Italian). Had some of the best wine ever, Rosso De Montalcino, Vendemmia 2004 (just so I would remember)
