Headed back to The Shamrock about 5pm and met a guy named Doug. He’s from Alberta and stays in Bucerias for about 4 months a year. Cheap. He found a place, albeit a rough place (his words), for $250/month. Met another guy from Australia who was packing up and heading to San Francisco via the Baja. Great story teller and with an accent.
A bit later, Jeremy (one of the seed guys) showed up and we had a few cervezas before heading over to The Twisted Rose. There I met the owners Hugh and Simon along with a very stunning cocktail waitress, named Michelle from Fells Point in Baltimore. (see photo) Of course that led to many stories about the cool places in MD. Then the tequila started. (OY) Besides waitressing, Michelle is also a Salsa dance instructor, so when I can get a few friends together, I believe a lesson or two are just what the doctor ordered. (is Salsa dancing relaxing?)
A few minutes later Carol and Jamie, the Canadians, walked in, and the evening was off and running. (see photo) At some point the 4 of us headed back to The Shamrock where we found Natalie and Sharon sipping tequila. (Not true! Sharon & Natallie don’t sip tequila, they slam them.) Note to self: never try to keep up with Irish women. Truly a fun evening. The hike home was brutal.
Buenos Noches!
