Sharon, owner of The Shamrock, preps the new staircase for paint. 20 days till St. Patty's Day!
Jueves, Febrero Veinti cinco Mil Diez
Buenos Dias! Up early, no milk, no coffee..must get to store, meanwhile, heading to Panino’s again. Great breads. Hasta luego! (see you later)
Again, great unlimited coffee (22p) and por desayuno: juveros, jamon, y queso, croissant. (39p)
I see that the stock market is heading lower and that the temperature in Fond du Lac is 7 degrees. Brrrrrrr! (no comment)
Exchanged my paperback for one called “Necessary Madness” by Jenn Crowell and bought some leche on the hike home.
3:38pm….YoYo Mo’s. I got an email from one of my tenants. I had to read it a couple times to figure out why I wasn’t getting her weekly rent checks deposited into my bank account. This particular tenant had always been good about it. Here is what she wrote: “I have been depositing my checks into the slot right below the drive-through machine. It is a plastic looking device, with an opening for envelopes.” If you haven’t figured it out, she was putting her checks into the trash bin. Lol (I shall at this time make no comment to her hair color.)
5:20pm Arrived at The Shamrock to see this: (see photo) Sharon painting (priming) the new stairs. Looks pretty good, eh? 20 days to go. Met a couple from Sheboygan, WI (30 miles from my igloo) John & Carol. (see photo) They only had a week and were headed back on Saturday. Had a great time talking with them and before I knew it, the clock ticked 7:30pm. Dinner and a movie. In Spanish I ordered two tacos to go. I think I told them that my dog was at a gay bar. (but they understood) I settled in for a good movie, “Atrapada en Berlin” only to learn that it was in German with Spanish sub-titles. Eye-eye-eye! Perhaps $2 is too much to pay for these dvds. Did some reading and a bit of writing for my paper.
