Would you put a large iguana on your head? Perhaps not by choice! Kodak moment!
To the most observant eye, Pedro and Juan are in this photo. Thanks Phil.
Yes Juan Marcos O'rosenow has found a 2nd home. March 17th is just around the corner....
Jueves, Marzo, Once, Mil Diez
Now for the exciting conclusion of yesterday’s quest to have some clothing repaired….I found the shop where I thought they would sew on some buttons. “Hablas Ingles, senor?” No. “Puede usted coser botóns?” “camisa?” No. “Donde?” “El centro.” OK. Strike one.
After an hour at YoYo Mo’s, which by the way is doubling in size as they remodel the adjoining space, I stopped at the ‘video’ store, and then headed to The Shamrock. On the way I remembered a little lavanderia a block away and wondered if they would fix my shirt y shorts. ‘No hablo Ingles’, was the first reply but with the same broken Español, and some serious hand waving, they smiled and took the garments. So the reader, and I, must wait yet another blog entry to learn if Juan Marcos gets new clothes. Lol I can just hear my readers cringe as they realize how much they’ve had to endure, just to read about sewing on two buttons. Hey, one can only hope that the pictures will be interesting.
The Shamrock was buzzing with activity as Sharon, Natalie, Jess, Gil and supporters ready for next week’s extravaganza: St. Patty’s Day. Large piles of fresh tee-shirts and stacks of brochures littered the Irish style pub tables, and large cans of Guinness waited anxiously in the back room to be cracked open. (last part added by the author for dramatic purposes only)
Two of my newest amigos, Roberto y Debbie, the ones from near Toronto, were enjoying a beverage, and it was only proper to join them. One must constantly practice the art of socializing, lest one lose it. (Bar Physics 101)
Headed up the mountain……note that it’s a mountain going home, and only a hill leaving it) Leftover tortellini y fettuccine, cheap cold white wine, great 7 grain bread (even though I actually didn’t count the number of grains) and the movie “Actividad Paranormal” were on the menu.
Buenos Noches!
