Activity: Snorkeling. Phil teaches us the proper way to hyperventilate......just forget to breathe!

Activity: How are you sandcastle building skills? Quite humbling to see these guys play.

Activity: Horseback riding without quarters? What has this world come to!

Activity: Beaching! That's what I call it. Doing something slightly less than nothing and if you don't finish, you can try the next day!

Activity: Water cruising! Or is it navigation? Whatever you call it, it's fun!

Great news! My shirt and shorts are repaired. Buttons have been replaced, and my wardrobe has increased by 18%. Let us rejoice! (that I’m done writing about it!) lol Not quite. When I went to pick them up, after the lady found them in a huge rack of washed/dried/folded clothes, I asked her “cuanto es?” (how much?) After she had turned to her boss, she said something in Spanish which I loosely translated as “nothing!” She smiled, and as a tip, I dug 20 pesos out of my pocket and thanked her. ‘Mucho gracias!’ (now the story is done!)
Just imagine if I wrote about all my laundry. (Ok, don’t imagine that!)
I was on a quest yesterday to not only find the Thai restaurant, but place an order for cena. (dinner) It began at The Shamrock, never said I took a straight line in my quest, where I purchased a prize looking St. Patty’s shirt, then to IXTA to capture the closing prices of the stock market, then to Sha-lou’s Noodle House, which is the Thai place but it wasn’t quite open, over to The Canadian Bar for a Sol, and back to The Noodle House for a Negra Modelo and 20 minute wait and chat with two ladies from BC. Now that’s a hike home, from the Thai place! I got to enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds from the north bound lateral. I found a sweet place on the way back, and picked up a slice of ‘raspberry cheesecake’. Yum!.
The Beef Mongolian bowl (120p) was pretty good, not great, but filled the vacant spot in the stomach for ‘oriental’ cuisine. The place is definitely worth a 2nd try.
No movie, just food and a book. With the reality of having less than 2 weeks remaining in paradise, I decided to forgo movies until my book reading wish list was completed. Two books remain on that list, even though I have started both. The first is …..wait….more on those two books tomorrow.
Today, like most, will be spent emailing, writing, walking, blogging, and stock market research, trading, and investing. May not sound fun to you, but I enjoy it and the fact that I can do it in a warmer climate, all the better. Which leads me to:
Reason #8 for choosing Mexico as my 2nd home: Activities! Part 1 of 3
