La Pachanga
Today’s restaurant. This is a new place for Bucerias and is located on Avendia Mexico, across the street from The Twisted Rose and a few doors down from Joe Crows. Note: as I discovered yesterday, Monday, they are closed. (note to self)
I have included a link and review from The Best of Bucerias. A few excerpts follow:
“ La Pachanga eatery carries an air of nonchalance, where one can sit their afternoon away on the open aired covered patio. Listen to music as well as chatting with friends till the wee hours of the night.
The food here is every hot dog lover’s dream to indulge in the variety of gourmet sausage dogs, and burgers all prepared fresh on site.
Begin with one of the polish sausages, add the fresh bun with some fries and you’re off!
The food here is value-for-money, the menu items are taste-tested and the location will prove to be a people watcher’s heaven. Then when you’re done you have the option to pick-up a few burgers & sausages for your next back-yard BBQ on your way out.”

How to build the ultimate Gourmet Sausage Dog (in Mexico) (All made fresh on site):
$60 pesos!
1. Choose your sausage: Original, Italian, Polish, or Hot Italian
2. Choose up to 4 toppings: Chili, Salsa, BBQ Sauce, Onions, Pickles, Cheese: Cheddar, American, Nacho or Cream Cheese, Horseradish, Bacon, Sauerkraut, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Banana Peppers, or Jalapenos.
3. Choice to include: Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, or Mayonnaise
4. Choose: French Fries or Potato Salad.
“A quality hot dog’s distinct “taste” is the most enjoyable sensation when you take a bite. We achieve the best “snap” by using top quality, all-natural casings.”
What I haven’t mentioned, yet, is that beers are 15 pesos all day and 20 peso national drinks. (hint: margaritas are a national drink) Remember, 12 pesos/dollar. They also have liters of cerveza for 30 pesos. (That’s 33 ounces for about $2.50) And they will broadcast your favorite football team….Go Packers!
So for about a 120 pesos or $10, you get a large custom sausage sandwich (larger than natural casing wieners that we get at home), a side of fries or potato salad, a liter of Corona or a couple margaritas, and that includes the tip. Cheap? I think not, Frugal is the word.
Buenos Tardes mi Amigos!
