Thursday, 7:30 pm Stopped at Gaby’s place to see if she had retrieved the ‘juanete medicina’. Assistant answered door…..no Gaby….and could not understand the explanation. Back to mi casa for dinner.
7:30 pm and started the blanco arrozo, or white rice. This was the last serving of my Diablo camarones con jalepeno. Poured a glass of my premature Sangria and turned on some music. Christmas piano….sweet. Water boiling…..brb…Crap….gas ran out….no stove functions…no hot water for a shower….Welcome to Mexico….headed to Gaby’s place.
Nobody home, left a note in German (jk)…..dinner halted, until a new LP tank can be found and installed…sorry guests, your dinner is postponed until tomorrow night….no hot water for a shower….hummmm….what shall I do? Do as the locals do….don’t worry about it?
I shall calm down and pour another glass of wine.
Will watch another episode of House, Season 6. Oh, wait, the remote still doesn’t work. Used the computer.
8:40 pm…..Ring, ring….the door bell is ringing, I must answer…brb…
It was Gaby and she apologized for the lack of gas/LP and promised that a new bottle would be delivered tomorrow…She also had purchased the medicine, from Puerto Vallarta, that I needed for my girlfriend….jaunete….(bonion). Mucho gracias was the best I could do. I do appreciate effort, really, I do.
Talk about trust….Gaby gave me the medicine for my bunion which was….Naproxeno Sodico-Paracetomol. As a responsible patient, of sorts, I followed the intructivo to the word….No debe administer mas de 2 tabletas cada 6 a 8 horas. There was another paragraph before and after that, in Spanish. The pills were huge and barely fit in the blender, but I was finally able to reduce them to a size that my throat and I would agree. May the healing begin, I prayed. Then all of sudden, my toe fell off. My motto: No pain, no pain.
To be continued.
Buenos Noches. Good night!
