My search at the Sunday market for some movies proved successful as I found a 3 x 1 deal that included ‘The Tourist’ with Depp and Jolie. ‘The Black Swan’ and ‘Love & Other Possibilities’ (both starring Natalie Portman) were included in the veinte y cinco price tag. ($2.00) Just hope it’s in English. I also scored a righteous piece of carrot cake at my favorite dessert place. Tonight’s Menu: Dessert & a Movie.
Returned for yet another siesta and shower before hiking down to my office. The welcoming smiles and greetings from Sharon, Gil, Silvia, and Homer continue to draw me back to The Shamrock.
After completing my homework, I headed over to Tapas del Mundo to leave a deposit with Jorge for our cooking class on Feb 8th and was pleasantly surprised with the music emanating from the new ‘wine’ bar in town, The Luna Lounge. As I passed by I recognized the singers….The Mango Trio, now called the Mango Duo, two of my favorite musicians. (Alfredo & Zoe) How cool is this! It turns out that Hugh, the owner, has booked them on Sundays from 7pm to ? Of course I had to stay for one of their sets. Smiling I made the hike home.
