Good news, bad news. Yesterday afternoon, Gaby came through with the USB modem, and Gil helped me install it and verify it was working, not very fast, but working. Great! So I make the hike home, not a lot of options there, and start my carne molida recipe and confidently fire up my new link to civilization…..not! I even tried standing my head which was very painful. Nothing. Pour a glass of wine, finish the dinner preps, and plug in House, Season 6. New plan….Back to The Shamrock to talk to Gil……about 5pm.
Oh, look! A Chicken! Speaking of continuing a tour of mi casa…..today’s three-some are of the 3 bedrooms. Not very glamorous, but comfortable. Sure I wish they all had 1000 TC Egyptian Cotton Sheets……I would be surprised if they had 50 thread count. And the pillows really stretch the definition and are far from a sweet Temporpedic cloud. However, the ceiling fans work very nice for the mandatory siestas.
I also wish that the window covering would be a bit more room darkening so I could sleep in past 7am, but hey, it’s Mexico. Towels, extra sheets, and some hangers are provided. (10 each) So to those of you that are joining me this year, that was a heads-up…..not a 5-star hotel, but ok and affordable. Let’s talk about food. (next time)
